March Happenings

Hello! 

Well, it seems as though March has come in like a lamb…so confusing. Hahaha! Hope everyone has had some fun in the sun & is feeling ready for spring! There is a lot in this email but please read to the end as it has TONS of good info.

STUDIO M SUMMER 2021
We are having SUMMER CAMPS…YAAAAAYYYY!! We are so excited to announce our first Studio M summer program. Please see the attached flyer for details but here is the gist: Each month – June, July & August – we will have one camp for Minis (ages 4-7), one for Juniors (ages 8-11) & one intensive for 12+. Each camp/intensive is $150 & we will offer a multiple camp/intensive discount. Registration opens this Wednesday – March 10th & there is limited spacing so get your dancer enrolled FAST!

SPRING SWIRL CLASSES
Registration has officially closed for our Season 2 regular schedule but we are starting our SPRING SWIRL CLASSES soon.  If you want your dancer to try something new, these 45min combo classes are sure to be a blast & a good intro to multiple genres.  Spring Swirl students will participate in the recital with a short performance wearing their recital tanks.  These classes also have supplemental curriculum so they are a bit different than your average dance class. Registration is open now & classes begin the week of March 22nd.  Swirls need a minimum of 3 dancers to run.  See the schedule below for more info:

• Bubble Gum Swirl: Ages 4-7; Friday 4:45-5:30pm
• Cookie Dough Swirl: Ages 8-11; Tuesday 7:15-8pm
• Chocolate Chip Swirl: Ages 12+; Monday 7:45-8:30pm

SPRING BREAK
Studio M will be closed for Spring Break the week of March15th-March 19th.  We hope you have some fun & get some rest/relaxation as well! 

RainBOW SPIRIT WEEK
Our monthly Spirit Week is coming up – March 22nd-March 26th!!  This is a fun one celebrating all things rainbows, pots of gold & good luck!  Please send your dancer to the studio with the biggest bow you can find…whether that’s a hair bow or a bow tie, we want to see fun, big & bright bows!!  Basic dress code rules apply: athletic attire that covers the bottom & belly areas, hair pulled back & appropriate shoes. 

EGG MY YARD
The Studio M Company Bunnies are having their annual EGG MY YARD fundraiser again!  They will decorate your yard the night before Easter so your student can wake up to eggs galore!  30 Eggs = $25; 50 Eggs = $45  Call or Text Hallie Lopuch for more information or to book your bunny. 😉 406.240.5685  See the attached flyer & help us spread the fun!

MONTANA DANCE ARTS ASSOCIATION SPRING VIRTUAL WORKSHOP
The annual spring workshop for MDAA will be held virtually this year.  If your student is interested, please visit the website for more information.  We will be streaming it at Studio M!  Dates: April 10th & 11th. www.montanadancearts.org

RECITAL FEE & APPAREL
Reminder that if you are participating in the recital, there is a $20 fee/student.  We will pull this fee with the May tuition.  Every student participating in the recital will receive a recital tank top.  Please log into the parent portal to add your student’s t-shirt size or shoot us an email with the preferred size by March 22nd. 

COSTUME PHOTO WEEK
We will be having our costume photo week May 24th-28th.  This week will be considered our dress rehearsal week & will have an alternative schedule.  More costume photo information to come…

SPRING SHOW INFO
Our spring show will be held June 1st, 2nd & 3rd.  We won’t have an exact schedule until closer to the event when we know what Covid restrictions we will be dealing with. Please be sure to mark all three days off on the calendar for the time being.  We will be holding our show in the UC Ballroom at the University of Montana.  Spring Show ticket information will be released as soon as we have a better idea of our show format. 

COVID REMINDERS

• Masks required for 5yrs and above. 
• Only Tots & Littles parents allowed in the building. 
• One parent/dancer.  NO siblings. 
• If you are sick at all, please stay home and use our Zoom option.
