Hi Studio M Family!!

It certainly doesn’t feel like November but here we are…halfway through!!  Hope you are finding some joy in the early winter!

SLEEPOVER SPIRIT WEEK

It’s already time for a Studio M Spirit Week again!!  Can you believe that?  This months theme is SLEEPOVER which means you can send your dancer to class in their pajamas.  How fun is that??  Please make sure that the basic dress code rules still apply: hair pulled back, appropriate shoes, no midriff or bottom showing, leggings or shorts under pajama dresses.  Each class will have a quick craft project to do the last 5 min & our spirit wall will be decorated per usual!

COSTUME PAYMENT DEADLINE – Monday, November 16th, 2020

Costumes are a huge endeavor (time, effort & money) but they are so worth it at the end of the year when they shine on stage at our show.  Thank you to everyone who has signed off on costume sizes!!  This makes our process easier & helps us get our part of the equation completed faster.   We have to order before the end of this month to ensure that we get the majority of our costumes before June.  I know that seems crazy but if you think about it – every studio across the country has their recital at the same time.  Last year we barely got some costumes before our festival.  This is why we order early & why there is a $20 charge for late payments.  Thanks so much for understanding!!

FALL BREAK

Fall Break is coming up!  We will be CLOSED for the week of the 23rd-27th.  We hope you get some good rest & relaxation during this break & that you can safely celebrate Thanksgiving!

PHASE 1 – HYBRID CLASSES

We are really hoping that we don’t have to make this move but if our Health Dept decides to lower the group size to 10, we will have to move into our hybrid/track system.  We are keeping a close eye on all news related to Covid & will keep you informed as soon as we have made decisions.  I have attached our Covid plan as a reminder for you to review at your convenience.  We are in this together & we will do our very best to keep dance as a viable extracurricular activity for your dancer!!

COMPANY CHRISTMAS WRAPPING:  Let our Company elves (mostly their parents) wrap your presents!!  December 7th-10th; 4-7pm.

HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEEK & FAMILY VIEWING WEEK: Our December spirit week & invitation to families to join class via Zoom.  December 14th-18th.

WINTER BREAK:  The studio will be closed December 19th-January 10th.
